I feel like the calm before the storm, as if there’s just a slight breeze ruffling my hair, but just over the horizon is a 100 mph monster waiting to bear down on me. *eep*

I’ve got a million things to do and four days to get it done. I also have a book signing tomorrow. Ack!

Okay, calm, calm, calm, right?

I hope to see some of you tomorrow at my book signing tomorrow at 2 pm at Barnes & Noble at Streets of Southpoint mall in Durham, NC.

Life is rumbling along at normal warp speed. I’m working my “real job”, squeaking in time on my WIP, trying to get ready for the RWA conference in Orlando next week, and attempting to spend time with my family. The days go by fast though, don’t they? *sigh*

My 14 YO starts high school in a month. *sniff, sniff* I am getting e-mails about stuff for him and I want to weep at the heavens. It’s my baby, y’all. I don’t care that he wears an 11 1/2 size shoe or that he’s taller than me. He’s still my baby.

Speaking of babies, we’re adding another teenage boy to our house tomorrow. My son’s friend is in a bad situation (short end of the stick as far as parents go) and he has four months until he enters the Air Force. So we’re taking him in and giving him a home for as long as he needs it. My grocery bill may never forgive me. LOL. Seriously though, he’s a good kid and I’m glad to give him a family when he needs one.

So, life is, as always, insane!

Pitiful, isn’t it? Seriously y’all, I missed posting my blog yesterday and being online all weekend. I feel like I’ve been away forever. LOL. Now I’m back online (yay baby!) and raring to go. I think. Coffee is required though.

I got my hair cut yesterday by my fabulous hairdresser Lacie. She gave me a nice bob, haven’t had one in a loooong time. I like it! For those of you who will see me this Saturday at my book signing or in Orlando at RWA – you get to see the lovely new ‘do.

I’m so glad to be back amongst the land of the connected.

Anyhoo, I have a very old friend coming in tomorrow. We’ve been friends for about 27 years and she is the reason I married my DH – the catalyst behind the coming together of two people. *awww* So we’re going to catch up on the last 10 years and eat and drink – it will be a fabulous time.

I’ve been working on editing and what I call “spackling” Gideon’s story and I’ve fallen behind on everything else. I feel like a heel for not doing what I need to, but I promise by the end of the week, I hope to be done and can take my head out of my ass.

Anyhoo, I hope y’all have a great Tuesday. I was disappointed and elated to hear it was not Wednesday, because I have an extra day to finish but it’s an extra day until the week is over. LOL.
