I’ve had many things go awry in the middle of finishing my current WIP so it’s taken me at least 6 weeks longer than I expected. Very frustrating! However, I’m at the very, very end.
As a writer when I get to the last 5K, the very end of the end, I lose interest and desperately want to finish. It’s an odd thing, I know but that’s what happens. Like at that point I just want to be DONE so I can move onto another shiny WIP. Shallow!
I will finish it today with only two scenes to write and a quick read of the last 10K. Then I’m done, done, done. My CP has been (im)patiently waiting for it for 2 months (sorry RC!).
One good bit of news is that I finished the synopsis – this is the worst part of any book for me. I really *dislike* writing the synopsis because I never know exactly what to include or exclude. I always feel like I’m rambling. LOL.
Then there is the neurotic fear of a blank page when I do start the new WIP…

YES!
And I’m with you on the lose interest part of a wip. I do the same thing. *sigh*
Can’t wait to read it!
*scurries off to finish wip before Beth’s email arrives*
