I’m pleased to say that I have finished my edits to ENDLESS HEART – off to the editor they go! Wootwootwoot!

Tweaks will ensure, there is never less than 2 rounds, but the bulk of it is done. Just in time for Christmas too! I am thrilled to get those off my plate.

Now I can focus on the holidays, reading, and my WIP. Yes I have time off (if you can believe it) and I shall be writing, reading, relaxing, visiting family. Ah, a 6 day weekend is ahead.

Today is my last day of “real” work until 12/28. Then I work 12/29, then another 4-day holiday weekend. My company is good about vacation and holiday time off!

It’s a hashtag on Twitter – #amediting. It tells people you’re in the midst of editing your manuscript. And oh boy am I in the midst. The edits are due tomorrow and I have a lot left to do.

Why do I do it to myself? I procrastinate and procrastinate then suddenly bam! It’s a few days before my deadline. Then I have to hyperfocus and cram it all in. I’m pitiful, that’s what I am.

I had little time to write the last week, which also meant I had little time to edit. Right now I’m batting zero as an author given the amount of busy days I’ve had. I know it’s the holidays and all. I hope the long weekends coming up, and yes even my trip to the in-laws, will give me writing time.

The editing will be done by tomorrow night or else. My editor will fly here and kick my sorry butt if I don’t.

The madness shall commence in five, four, three, two…weekend!!!

It is Thursday, right? Okay good. With not working on Monday I’ve lost track of the days. Of course that means it’s 10 days until Christmas.

I have early Christmas dinner this Sunday at my house for my family. Then next Saturday, yes that’s 9 days away, we board a plane to fly to CT to spent Christmas with DH’s family.

Oh how the week will fly by and how insane it shall be! I can just feel it in my bones.

The good news is that I shipped out all my packages yesterday. If you were waiting on me, it’s all out the door. *fist pump*

I am nearly done with shopping – have a few items to get but overall I think my gifting is in good shape. If only my mind were. Hee.

The muscle soreness is better today and I no longer creak when I walk. LOL. I got up on time and was on my treadmill at 5. My journey continues to get myself down to a manageable size and I’m more than halfway there. I’m hoping it’s all downhill from here. Hee.

DS is settling back in. Day 1 was uneventful, which is always good, and he emptied the dishwasher (as asked) and even put his recycling in the bin. I am impressed!

On the downside, he’s a smoker and all of his things smell like smoke *wrinkles nose*. I need to fumigate his things since even he noticed it smelled. I think he’s trying to quit so cross your fingers!

I’m off to get ready for real work and make some money. Tonight features some actual writing time (it’s been days). Happy hump day!
