Ah, one more weekend in July. Did you know this is the fifth Friday? Something that doesn’t happen very often, every couple hundred years or similar timeframe. It should be a special day then right?
I’m up early writing before work (as usual). Today will be busy at work (as usual) but I’m going to have lunch with my 19 YO. I miss him. :( We don’t get much 1:1 time since he moved out last year so I’m looking forward to lunch.
Tomorrow is book club at noon poolside. We’re going to be drinking in the sun and swimming. Hmmm, might want to rethink some of that. Hee hee. I will get writing done early so I don’t write drunken purple prose afterwards.
Today is also opening day for Cowboys & Aliens (swoon). I am going to make a deal with myself. If I can hit 8K by Sunday afternoon, I will go to a matinee, otherwise I will deprive myself of the movie goodness to get my WIP finished. My deadline is Monday, which I can use as another writing day. However, it’s not going to write itself (wouldn’t that be cool?)
Anyhoo, I hope everyone has a great weekend. If you go see Cowboys & Aliens, don’t tell me or I’ll cry. Hee.

The WIP is moving along like a rocket. I’ve written enough that I think I’m going to hit my August 1 date. The story is flowing so well I can hardly keep up.
When I’m writing a book and I’m deep in the throes of it, my dreams get really vivid and numerous. Last night I had so many dreams, they piled on top of each other, even got mixed up. LOL.
Tonight I have no writing time. I’m going to the Speaking of Women’s Health event with my sister – swag, fun, 1000 women. It shall be an estrogen fest of the highest caliber. I can’t wait!
Stay cool y’all – it’s going to be 100+ here the next 4 days. I don’t want anyone to get heat stroke! A/C is our friend. :)

It’s time to register for RAW!! Who is going to Lora Leigh’s Reader Appreciation Weekend in October? ME!! If you’re not, why not? It’s going to be fabulous fun and I am so excited to have a new venue. There’s even going to be a bonfire with s’mores, parties, fun, dancing, and general mayhem.
We’ve got a lot in store for ya – the authors are already hard at work planning some good stuff with the amazing Lora and the fabulous Jo Carol Jones. Oh, the fun we will have!
This group is the authors last year in our jammies. Aren’t we adorable?
And yes, my Mom is coming with me for everyone who keeps asking. I think she’s more popular than me! Look at us from last year in this photo.
C’mon y’all – join me and the rest of the RAW peeps! Registration ends soon. Don’t make me miss you because you’re not going. :)

Had a stellar, but not quite cosmic, writing weekend of 8,000 words. Celebrating with this hottie. :)
Today’s eye candy for your viewing pleasure.

I’m getting words in every day, if not as many as I want to. This weekend I’ve set a goal of 10,000 words for Friday through Sunday. I can do EEET!
So other than some shoe shopping, really need comfy black sandals, and dinner at a friend’s house Saturday night, I shall be holed up writing, writing, writing.
*tick tock tick tock tick tock*
The deadline clock is looming. Eep!

I’ve got a writing goal to hit. August 1 is my deadline to finish ENDLESS HEART. This is Lettie’s story, the third and final runaway Mormon bride. She’s a tough cookie, let me tell ya.
I’ve got a ways to go but I’ll do it. I know I can do it. I might be absent offline a bit as I focus on this. Plus I gotta get ready for RomCon. I’m the chair for the Erotic Authors Mixer and we’re going to have FUN. Got some materials to print – we’re going to be giving away swag bags too. Anyone going?
Anyhoo, game face on y’all. You know how I get when I have a deadline. I turn into a turtle and retreat to my shell, determined to finish. That’d be me over the next two weeks.
I shall prevail!

So glad it’s Friday and a weekend I’m not traveling/meeting/running around like a mad woman. Whew! I have writing time, shopping time and even time to sleep. What more could I want? LOL
I’m off this morning to volunteer at the NC Food Bank in Raleigh with a group from work. We did it last year and really enjoyed it. Food is such a critical thing to have and the Food Bank does some amazing work with people in need.
Tonight, both my kids will be home (yay!) and I may have to splurge on dinner. Not sure what yet but something good. Tomorrow is shopping time, then taking DH and DS #2 for eye appointment and haircuts. I’m the designated driver since eye exam equals dilated pupils.
Sunday will be writing time, also maybe the flea market in Raleigh. Haven’t been in a while and I’m itching to go.
All in all, a pleasant, normal weekend. I can’t wait!!

I need the weekend. The week is kicking my tail and I need time off. *weeps*
I made myself get out of bed this morning, although I did allow an extra 20 minutes of time lying there, to write before work. I did get 1,000 words written so I feel better for having kicked myself out of bed, but I’m exhausted.
The good news is, it’s not Monday. The bad news is, it’s not Friday. LOL. :D
For those of you waiting for me to mail you swag/romance trading cards/books, I promise I will get it all packaged up today. After the last two days, I simply had no energy last night to sit and get it all done.
It’s going to be 100 degrees again today and that may be contributing to me being tired, but I think it’s the running around like a chicken with my head cut off that’s to blame. At least now hubby has his new car (a John Cooper Works Mini) and loan/paperwork is done (whew). I still have errands to run though.
Yes I know people will tell me I need an assistant, that would be wonderful. However I don’t know anyone who would work for free. LOL.
Anyhoo, I’m off to get ready for work. Happy hump day y’all!
