Today is the last day to get yourself a free ebook of Devils on Horseback: Nate. You can pick it up for both Nook and Kindle.

I’m working on my current WIP like a mad woman, in between following a new strict food regimen (whereby I have given up all coffee *sob* and soda *diet coke, double sob*). It’s been a heck of a week. Whew.
Also, don’t forget to keep bidding on Operation Auction 2011. Please support us in this effort. Go forth and bid!

For everyone that knows Fatin (mad4rombks), you probably know she lost her husband in a senseless act of violence a few weeks ago. Yesterday the Operation Auction 2011 went live on ebay. This is important because it will benefit Fatin’s four daughters, who are now without their father.
The auction will go on this week with all kinds of wonderful, amazing items up for grabs from the romance community. Fatin is a long-time supporter, reader, blogger, and all-around lovely person.
Please support us in this effort. Go forth and bid!

I’m both excited and horrified it’s Friday already. Excited because, well, it’s Friday! End of the work week and start of the precious weekend. Woo!
Horrified because now I’m 1 week from my due date (gulp) and I’m writing. Last night I felt the surge of the writing zone move through me. This is GREAT – I’ve not captured it for a bit so it’s what I need. I hope I don’t sound like some kind of weird self-help guru. LOL. As I writer, I need to almost channel the story for it to flow.
Last night, I tuned to the right channel. *fist pump*
I am planning on writing my head off this weekend, and although I have an unexpected event tomorrow morning I shall still write like a demon every moment I can. Like now, why am I writing a blog post when I could be writing my WIP? Tee hee.
Anyhoo, have a great weekend y’all. I shall be around but in the writing cave, channeling my story!

As I always tend to do, I’ve left a great deal of my current book to finish only a short time before its due.
Alas, I try to make myself write a certain amount every day but real life, inspiration, and other insanities have all conspired together to delay that daily goal.
Here I am 8 days until my book is due and I’m not going to panic. I’m NOT GOING TO PANIC. I am taking 1/2 day off today to catch up somewhat. I also have most of the weekend (amidst a few chores) to pound out some pages.
Panster habits have not worked for this book. I think I need at least a rough synopsis for every book I write. Part of my problem was I knew the end, and the beginning, but the middle was hazy. And I’m stuck in that fog so perhaps I came up with excuses about insanities to avoid writing what I didn’t know. I think I’m making my head hurt!
Anyhoo, I will be scarcer than usual the next 8 days, although I am hopping on the Joyfully Reviewed Yahoo loop Thursday night at 7 to play. Other than that, I hope to be sitting right here, or another spot in my house, writing, writing, writing.

This isn’t so much a rant as a plea for sanity. I really, really don’t like daylight saving time (yes, it’s saving, not savings – I looked it up, lol). The practice was instituted when we were an agricultural society to give farmers more daylight time in the evenings to get crops in.
We still have farmers and crops but as a society, so incredibly different than we were 50 years ago, the use of daylight saving time has become outdated and antiquated.
For those who live in Arizona or Hawaii, I envy you. No daylight saving time. :(
As a morning person, who gets up at 5 to exercise and get ready to leave for work at 7, DST is KILLING me yet again. I haven’t gotten up to exercise both mornings now and there is little hope for tomorrow. Who the hell wants to get up at 4 am? Not me!
This is a plea for sanity from all the governments of the planet. Dispatch with daylight saving time, please. I don’t think we need it and although people are overjoyed with the daylight at the end of the day, those of us who have to up with the moon and the stars are not so excited.
Tired. Coffee. Grumpy.

Okay, I have to say Daylight Saving Time sucks, so I found a pretty man to help us through it.
