Launch Contest Day #7

Welcome to Day 7 of my Launch Contest!

Today is the final day to enter the contest and win some free books! I’ve had fun this week and I hope you have too. :D

It’s an extremely frigid (19 degrees) and icy morning after the nasty storm Friday/Saturday. Today the sun is shining even though it’s so damn cold my teeth hurt when I rinsed them with tap water. LOL. I’m sort of stuck in the house, not that I really need to go anywhere, so hopefully I’ll be writing.

One of my favorite weekend activities is reading the Sunday paper with a cup of coffee. *sigh* I lurv that hour where all I do is read and drink my hot brew. It’s very relaxing, something that I’ve always fiercely insisted on, no matter what my crazy kids are doing. Sometimes it takes some time to get there but I make sure it happens.

What’s your favorite weekend activity? Mine are:

- Reading
- Shopping (when my ankle is ready again!)
- The Sunday paper and coffee

I am in Law School so unfortunately I am usually working on the weekends. But when I have time I love to read (for pleasure not school), ski, and do my needlepoint!

I work every second weekend so I really love when I can be at home reading and watching some old films on telvision.

I like to take Sunday and go to the lakefront and take pictures of the beach, water and people enjoying themselves with their families. I live in the south so I enjoy watching those southern cowboys.

I usually get my granddaughter on Sunday mornings and love bringing her into bed with me and hubby to play. Then we get up and make a nice breakfast…and just enjoy her company (She just turned 2).

Sounds lovely y’all. I am such a firm believer in that “me” time. I thought about this post as I read the newspaper.

On the weekends I love to sleep in, read and then on Sunday I love to watch CBS Sunday Morning. It has stories about art, books, movies, music….it feeds my need for culture. And I also love that the stories are always positive and inspiring. However, this doesn’t always happen…sadly :(

I work every third weekend, but when I can my favorite weekend activities are sleeping in late, reading, going out to eat with friends, and shopping (for books). Or having friends over for something I made myself.

Favorite weekend activities? Definitely reading, hanging out with family and friends, and playing Wii with the kids (who yes, nearly always beat us!) Hey, we’re teaching them to be gracious losers, right? :D
